ADHD Anxiety and Depression, AI hacks, and a "Pay-What-You-Can" Workshop
We got work arounds for our brains all day, every day.
Welcome back! Thanks for being here! I love bringing you new resources and help each week! If you want to see specific info here, be sure to let me know!
WORKSHOP THIS WEEKEND! Getting Your Finances Together Workshop - Saturday, March 4th, 2023 - 1pm MST
ONLINE - 1 hour; COST - Pay what you can
Does opening your bank account stress you out? Have no idea where the money goes? Forget sticking to a budget, you don’t even have one of those!
During this 1-hour online workshop, our goals will be to:
Understand how ADHD creates financial mental blocks
Work to uncover and reduce areas of overspending
Create a detailed budget for each month
Explore strategies to save money
Connect dopamine and finances in a healthy way
Know how to monitor and adjust
YOUR AI ASSISTANT IS ON SALE! If you have known me for a second, you know I live by my Amazon Echo and my Dot. I even have her trained to remind me to drink water by playing sounds with “water” in the title every hour while I work. I am for sure chasing waterfalls.
You don’t need a fancy one. Get an old one. Amazon has the 3rd generation Dot on sale half off (less than $20). It’ll do!
Wondering how to use this sweet thing? Check out a previous essay about it called “Meet Alexa, My Digital ADHD Assistant.”
I hear from so many people noting that they were previously misdiagnosed with anxiety or depression or that they suffer from it along with their ADHD. If that’s you, you are NOT alone!
Some quick facts on anxiety and depression and ADHD:
Anxiety (72%) and depression (70%) are the two most common comorbid conditions diagnosed alongside ADHD in adults
Often caused by low self-esteem and a poor self-image caused by ongoing feelings of being overwhelmed by life due to ADHD symptoms
Excellent ways to combat anxiety and depression are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness

STAY TUNED: This Saturday’s essay is all about how my ADHD diagnosis changed my anxiety and depression.
This playlist. This one right here. Can I tell you the happiness this one brings me? It’s so lovely. I mean, Glass Animals brings all the bilateral joy, but this music is a nice subtle brain tickle. So if you just want good music with little “what the heck is happening?” this is a great go-to.
If you are looking for a playlist for a certain activity, let me know, and I can do some digging!
I really want to work to ensure that ADHDers have a safe place where they can get support, make friends, and learn. As a paid member of Late to My Own Party, you get all kinds of fun things to help you navigate life with ADHD and to be part of a supportive, safe community of like-minded (literally, our brains work the same way) people. Upgrading also helps support this content and allows me to do work to help us all feel more seen and understood.
Also, YOU GET 10% OFF EVERY DAMN THING! Downloadables? Yes. Stickers? Hell yes!
Coaching is up and running, and you can schedule right on the website! No matter what you need help with (organization? relationships? communication? work?) I want to help you make big and lasting changes! Sign up for a free consult!
Know an ADHDer that would LOVE this info! Feel free to share it!
